Fantasy and science fiction ironically works best at keeping me grounded in this crazy world. I draw strength from Tolkien’s myth of Eru Illuvatar and the Ainur singing creation into existence. When confronted with this world’s evil, I contemplate Lucas’ redemption of Anakin. Should he have returned as a Force ghost after committing all he did?
The beauty of plying fiction to investigate life is that no one gets hurt … it’s just a story.
In 1977 I fell in love with Star Wars. This is when I started inventing my own stories. Introduced to Lord of the Rings and Dungeons & Dragons in middle school I began to commit my tales of adventure to paper.
Now, I endeavor to share my own epic tales with you.
I studied history in college and place tremendous value on remembering the past. I seek to assist others in safeguarding their own life’s stories. Consider me a ghostwriter for the common person.
I offer my writing skills to help memorialize a past loved one or preserve your own tale for future generations.
I now appreciate how the world’s various religious systems have influenced the fiction I read and write. It is my goal to acquaint myself with the echos of lost spirituality that murmur to those who listen. It is my hope that I can retell and fictionalize various elements of these ancient, forgotten stories.
